[Plugin: Events Manager] iCAL Url not working with Google?

I think either your theme or a plugin is preventing the ical feed from showing.

I’ve disabled all plugins and themes… still the same.

iCAL validators suggest the same issue IanButty reported here…

I reported this problem on v5.1.6.6. I have checked for a later dev version but none shows up.

v5.1.6.6 – sadly I am still getting the same error when importing in to google calendar:

Processed zero events.
Failed to import events: Unable to process your ical/CSV file..
Error at line 15: Expected [VEVENT], read [VEVENT0]

I’ve been doing a little bit of digging and I saved the ics file on my computer and then made the following changes:

Lines: 15,24,33,42,51 etc
Change “END:VEVENT0” to “END:VEVENT”

Line: 303
Change “END:VEVENT3600” to “END:VEVENT”

With those changes the calendar imports in to Google calendar with no problems (apart from the location/where field reading “Ian&#8217\;s Studio” and not “Ian’s Studio”

Will this be fixed in the next update? It would be wonderful if at least the demo site [https://demo.wp-events-plugin.com/events.ics] could pass validation at: https://severinghaus.org/projects/icv/

As it stands now .. Google Calendar rejects the feed.

yes, now I see a vevent0 too in the demo (didn’t before…)

will fix this.

sorry, don’t know how I missed that one…. i should have just looked for an echo further up in the loop rather than the end.

Your site seems working fine on my google calendar; at first it doesn’t work and says could not parse… then what I did is delete all my google calendar (My calendars > settings > Delete/Unsubscribe) and add it again using Add by URL

Apologies, but you’re right it is working now!

I was trying almost immediately after updating to 5.1.6.9… Maybe something needed to catch up!
