I am getting kicked off my shared hosting server because of excessive resources use. They told me that the Events Manager is the biggest use of resources.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Any solutions other than to just uninstall EM?

EM has been great, but I can’t get kicked off either.

My site averages 40 hits/day, so traffic is very low. I have WP-Super-Cache going, but EM still seems to keep using resources (which make sense as it needs to refresh).

  • Hi,

Is it possible to know which resources it consumes most?

This was what my host gave me:

    [/wp-content/plugins/events-manager/includes/js/events-manag]

When I used P3 to check what plugins were being used the most, it said that Events Manager took up 35%.

    Hope this helps!

    what shared hosting is that?

any further errors they can provide to prove this? how many events do you have?

most users use shared hosting and many get much more traffic, first time I hear this.

I use Site5.com. I’ve had them for many years now and it’s the first time they’re coming to me.

You can see the number of events (2-3) at mashupasia.com/mashups

I’m very surprised as well and they said it was just the last few days that I had a big spike.

I’ve installed WP-Super-Cache and cloudflare.com, so hopefully that’ll drive the resources down to where I’m not in the “red” anymore and won’t get kicked off.
