After downloading both the Events Manager plugin as well as the FullCalendar plugin that works with it, I created an event and viewed the update before publishing. Everything looked perfect, right down to the permalink. However when it was published it didn’t show up on my created Events page. I’ve read over the information in the Help sections and I’m not sure what’s going wrong or what’s happening. Please help! Thanks! ??

  • hi,

do you have a sample link? also, make sure that your setting are correct at Settings > Pages.

Hopefully you can see it here:
    https://303vodka.com/boulderdistillery/events/orality-in-james-joyce-conference/

It’s just an event that’s automatically downloaded with the plugin. Here is the page that it’s supposed to show up on but isn’t: https://303vodka.com/boulderdistillery/events/

As you can see it’s not there ??

I did go to the Settings > Pages (what was I meant to do here?) and want the events to show up as a post on the events page in chronological order. Is that not what the plug in was designed for? I’d like to fiddle around and learn more about the plug in but I can’t do that until I understand why it’s not posting. I want to be able to see the live results. I appreciate your help!

Am going to check the sample events however how about creating new events? does it do the same?

It does. When I created a new event that’s exactly what happened. The full calendar which I know works in conjunction with the Event Manager, showed up exactly how it should on the post where I entered [fullcalendar] and the event post information.

Do I need to make a brand new Page, change the settings to Page instead of Post? Also in looking at the plugin demo, it looked as if there was the ability to have a separate calendar section with multiple colors for different events and then click on those events and go to a separate page with them broken down. I’d like to learn how to do that, however this first hurdle is really difficult. Thanks SO much for the help!

could it be you have a caching plugin showing you an outdated page?

I did update the plugin, even downloaded it brand new, so I’m not sure why/how it would already have caching issues. I would say that maybe the events page on the site itself has cache issues, however I was able to update a post and change the page content on the events page that want the Events manager event to go to. Where do I locate the section I need to clear the caching? Could something like caching affect other plugins in this manner with the same results? Also can you clear the cache of individual plugins or would clearing the cache affect the whole site?

I mean caching plugins like W3 Total Cache.

Otherwise, could it be your events are in the past? Also, what about on the calendar, can you see it on there?

I’m not sure exactly what happened but I got it all cleaned up and figured out! Thanks everyone for your suggestions!
