[Plugin: Events Manager] Enable Guests to Submit Events?

    Is there a way to enable guests (visitors to my blog) to submit events and have them remain in a pending status until the event is approved by an admin? That is the functionality I need. If not with Events Manager (Free version), is there another events plug in that will do that?

    I need an event plug in that allows:

    1) events to be submitted by guests and approved by an admin
    2) ability to enter recurring events
    3) create event categories
    4) enter locations, show map
    5) search events
    6) display events in list (blog) format — nice to have

  • Guys,
    Please allow the “Guest” users to ‘edit’ as well as ‘read’ permissions for the events (you can set it up in the User Capability Settings for the plugin). Disallow ‘publishing’ capabilities if you want to approve first before publishing.

    And it does not matter if you post the shortcode in a post or a page. At least it didn’t for me. ??
