• I’m having trouble with Events Manager. I’d like to have guests be able to submit events. I’ve gotten that enabled through Events – Settings – General- Event Submission Forms, with Guest default User as Anonymous (Subscriber status), but when I log out and submit an event, there’s no place that requires the event submitter to enter their contact info. (Though I am successful in submitting the event.)
How do I enable that, can anyone help? Thanks.

There isn’t a field for this automatically, atm you have to manually create event attributes.

However, we will be adding this feature soon because when a booking is approved, there’s no one to email!

I see. Thanks. So is learning how to manually create event attributes something that I should do, that would then uniformly apply in the future to all event submissions including ones by guests/aka visitors to the site? or would it not work for my purposes? I just want guests to be able to create a community event and I would be able to follow up with them if there was a problem with the event listing.

if you created a custom attribute, you could view this when reviewing the submission, so you could use this to contact them manually if needed. You don’t have to show this information on the listings if you just add the placeholders in the attributes box within the general settings.
