[Plugin: Events Manager] Categories page problem in 5RC1?

  • I have a few categories for events. The page for a particular category is not shown correctly. Here is an example.
    The links are stripped and I think the list tags are also removed. Read more link also does not make sens.

    I guess it could be theme specific, but then locations page does not have such issue.

    BTW. “Post or page mode” EM setting has no effect for my website.

    I use EM 5RC1, PressWork based child theme and IE9.

    You need to make sure you have ‘override with formats’ checked in the Pages > Categories section of your settings. Probably that.

    Very strange. If it set the mentioned option to – YES (and use default everything else, the formats etc.), then the result is like in the sample page.

    If I set it to NO, then all works and each event shows up as a separate post in the list.

    try the latest version first, lots of changes since rc1

    Today I use Version 5.0.42. I will try to uninstall and remove all database data related to this plugin. Then I will check again.

    I have cleared the database and reinstalled plugin version 5.0.42.

    try this:

    1. choose again the category page under settings Pages > Event Categories > Categories page

    2. choose Override with Formats? - Yes

    Then Re-Saved Changes or if you have customized categories template might try removing that temporarily.

    It is set to yes, by default. The format is also default.
    I get better results if I set this option to no. Then I get a list in “standard” posts format.

    I see it happens when I select the presswork theme, but it is strange, because a similar list of events for a location page works fine.

    BTW, I think something got changed on the way from the RC version to the latest versions. Before it was behaving ehactly like the location page (only missing <ul></ul>).

    Probably, but if you try another theme does it work?

    Yes it does (with the standard one from Worpress).
