[Plugin: Events Manager] Can Single Event pages be removed?

you can customize the EM settings > Formats/layouts > Events Format then instead of #_EVENTLINK you can use #_EVENTNAME

Not sure if there’s any hooks that can modify the custom post registration process, if so then you could make events not public.

Otherwise, quick fix would be to do as angelo says above so you don’t have links to your events, then install some sort of plugin that either adds a noindex to your event pages or create a redirection using a redirection plugin.

@agelonwl – I’ve checked the settings, I don’t even use any links and instead use #_NAME and similar tags.. the single event and location pages are getting generated anyway. Any ideas?

Do what Marcus suggested. Instead of trying to remove them all together, use a plugin to noindex those event posts, and maybe use a redirect plugin in the event someone lands on the URL somehow.

I am actually adding a noindex on these posts with some php code, but it’s still showing up on google even though the meta tag is there.. but the redirect plugin is not a bad idea. Will redirecting hurt SEO?

Google doesn’t drop indexed pages, it just won’t add new noindex pages or review it anymore. 301s will change the index results if i remember correctly.

Some say you have see very marginal decrease in rank/traffic, but in theory it works fine if you give a proper 301 redirect.
