• Hi,

Events Manager seems to be a great plug in, and does all things we wanted and more.

One of the things I want it to STOP doing is automatically adding a Non-Member as a WP user of our site upon purchasing an event ticket.

The purchaser seems to receive a system generated user ID and PW, and becomes “Subscriber” of our site.

Is there any way to stop this from happening?

    Thank you.

  • Events Manager is working on a solution for that, can you provide more details about the request?

Hi thank you for your quick response.

Sure. I am not sure if those are the details you are after but this is the sequence of events.

    1. I have created an event and made tickets available for booking. (Fr ee of charge event).

    2. I logged myself out of the WP environment, and booked tickets without logging in, using the Name, email and phone fields.

    3. I received a system generated email as follows:
“You have successfully created an account at [website name].
You can log into our site https://[siteurl]/wp-login.php .
    Username : k1649
    Password : Wl********bp”

This all happened without being asked if I wanted to join as a member (wp user) of our site.

Separately, I received a Booking confirmation email generated by Event Manager, which is great.

Since this site is a paid membership site, we don’t want any non-member event attendees to automatically be registered to our membership.

    I hope you can help.

    Thank you.

we’re working on something that’ll provide a workaround for these situations.

    Thank you Mercus.

Any idea when that might be available?

not a fixed eta atm, but a matter of weeks

    Hi Marcus,

Keep up the great work here guys.

Would these changes allow users to book more than One event using the same email address? It is currently not possible to book more than one event for an email address as a guest, you have to be logged into do this, and we don’t want people having their own uc/pw on our WP site.

    Best regards

Yes, that would be possible. With some luck may squeeze it in this week.

That would be great, you guys are really on the ball with things. Love the work ??

luck is on our side this week, the dev version now has this feature ??

hopefully will release today, one or two kinks to work out

    Great idea!

I’ve just installed version 4.300 and it seems like I cannot create tickets.
I get this when i try to (I always set max tickets to 1, single ticket mode enabled):
“Something went wrong with creating tickets”

It doesnt matter if its on an existing event or a new one.

Could it be that you are adding something like $20.00 instead of just a number?

There’s a bug to do with ticket errors not returning a meaningful error msg, working on that.

Nope, just numbers. And I dont set price at all, just number of spaces and max tickets.

    Ok, patiently waiting :).

try latest version, the above is fixed, maybe it’ll give a more meaningful message now.

    and it did!
“Please enter a valid ticket price e.g. 10.50 (no currency signs)”

I guess im okay with this but I never had to enter a ticket price before.

    Thanks.
