  • Hi,
I’m having the same issue. Does anyone have a fix?

were they both working before for you before upgrading?

No. When I tested the booking process the email went out with the username and password on. The link to WP worked fine but the passwords didn’t. I ran a forgot password and the reset worked but when I checked into the account there was no event in there.
I’ve just upgraded today and I’m working on getting the PayPal bit set up so haven’t tested it in the pro version yet.

    Cheers

Yes, mine worked before upgrading, no the passwords will not work after upgrading. I finally gave up and uninstalled the plugin for now.
Its really nice and I like it but I needed to have registration available immediately. So in its place I am now using Gravity Forms with a custom rehistration form and creating custom posts for each event that requires sign-up.
It is working beautifully for me because I am not
using any pay on line methods anyway, just pay at the door.
I do wish Events manager would employ an option for paying at the time of the event as well in future versions, That would be great.
I even tried Event Espresso, paid for it, installed it and discovered that
if I leave price blank my events all say free, that is big Not Gonna Happen LOL.
Your plugin was perfect except the one thing I did like was
user registration on wp with user and pw anyway, so the Gravity Forms is best at this point. Will give Events Manager another go another time. Gravity Forms collects all the info I need into a database,
the user is able to register with ease and no emails need be sent unless I want them to. I am now happy

Can confirm this, I also got this problem with the new version. The user is created and the booking is made, however the password sent out does not work.

    I meant to say:

Your plugin was perfect except the one thing I did NOT like was user registration on wp with user and pw anyway.

I only needed a database of who signed up for the event, I did NOT REQUIRE or NEED users to register on WP Site to be able to register for an event.

So, if that could be made as an option in futre versions, that would be super! And thank you very much for looking into the password problem so quickly. BTW, I am using the latest wordpress, 3.1.2

i will look into making a workaround for that too, because it’s quickly becaoming a popular request ??

r.e. the password problem, this has been fixed int he dev version, will be fixed in 4.15

r.e. non-registered user bookings is something else that we’ll attend to asap
