[Plugin: Event Organiser] Changing Events Link Name

    Hi,

    First off, the events plugin is great! I am using it and its working well, and easy to edit.

    Here is my question: The client I am working with wants his events area to be called “Shows.” Is there an easy way I can change the link that shows up in the navigation? I tried setting up my own shows template, and adding in the code from archive-event.php, but that didn’t seem to work.

    I am looking for a good “event and registration” plugin. I tested some of them and I am not satisfied. Does this “Event Organiser” manage the registration to an event or not? I checked quickly on their website but find anything about that.

    Is it possible to see site where the “Event Organiser” is in use?

    Hi Stinoga,
    I shall be adding this option to the next release (1.2, which will be out sometime in February). It will also allow you choose your own permalink structure for the events, venues and category pages.

    If you wish to change the navigation name prior to the update, the function responsible is eventorganiser_menu_link in the event-organiser-cpt.php file in the ‘includes’ directory. However, these changes will be over-ridden with an update and you will have to set ‘shows’ on the settings page.

    I’m afraid the plug-in doesn’t currently offer registration to events. Also, I haven’t yet produced a demo-site for the plug-in (I should get round doing that soon!).
