• Am I right thinking that you just need to add your PayPal email in order for this to work, or do you need also your Secure Merchant Account ID?

Did a test order and came up as Failed. Is Sandbox testing a requirement prior to go live?

You only need a paypal business account (and even that I’m not 100% sure about) and you should enter the main paypal account email address into the settings page within eShop.

No you don’t need a Secure Merchant Account ID for eShop.

Sandbox testing isn’t a requirement – just makes it easier for me to test. You need a separate account within Paypal’s Sandbox to utilise it though.

Ok, thats great. Thanks for quick answer.

One more thing: then I wont be needing to turn on the ‘Payment Data Transfer’ option in PayPal, nor (as I read you answered another post) I need to have Auto Return switched on, isnt it? Just my PayPal email, nothing else.

Did a purchase test, paid on PayPal, returned to my shop, but saw the order was listed in the ‘Failed’ section in eShop. Though in PayPal looks like is a accepted transaction. Any ideas as to why?

correct -you don’t need to change/set those settings at paypal.

failed oder – could be email address used isn’t the primary at paypal – or multi currency perhaps? Check the email that gets sent from eShop to you – see if there is anything in there that may help. feel free to forward me a copy if you want me to take a look.
