• Hi,

I am a great fan of eShop and been using it in couple of projects.

My issue is, I am not able to use it with the Indian shopping cart websites I am working with. Currently INR(Indian Currency) is not supported as a default currency for Paypal transaction. So in the Payment Receiving Preferences(in Paypal account) I chose the option to convert the currency value to dollar automatically when checkout (option – accept them and convert them to US Dollars). But it doesn’t seem to be working with eShop.

For example, I have a product which is priced INR 99.00. If I am checking out with that price, when reaching the paypal page it is billed for $99, not INR 99. The currency is not converted at all.
Do I have to make any configuration changes to make this work?

Thanks in advance for the help

    Regards

that would be a paypal setting, and I have no idea if doing so would invalidate the checking that is done on an order -so I’d have to say it isn’t recommended.

Thanks a lot for the Reply.
If it helps, I am pasting here the reply from Paypal Customer Care

    Dear Aravind A.,

    Thank you for contacting PayPal.

Here at PayPal, we currently support 23 currencies. Indian Rupees is not
included. Let me assure you that we are actively working to make this
available and we do not have a firm date or timetable for expansion of
this specific services. When additional currencies are introduced,
PayPal members are automatically able to use them with their existing
    PayPal accounts.

The primary reason is the challenges and complexities associated with
the worldwide financial network which becomes even more unique within
each country. As PayPal brings service to new countries worldwide, we
continue to work at enhancing our payment platform with nations where we
are offered. The global financial marketplace is unique and varies
locally between each country. PayPal always seeks to ensure compliance
with local and international laws before unveiling any new service.

Your PayPal account will automatically be denominated in US dollars.
When your customer pays you, we will automatically convert the funds to
    your Primary currency.

We hope you understand our situation and thank you for your patience.
We’re available to answer any questions you might have. Thank you for
choosing PayPal for your online payment needs. We appreciate your
    business.

    Sincerely,

yeah they don’t actually convert the value sent via eShopfor the customer. So if you set the product value to 100 rupees, Paypal will just change that to 100 dollars for the customer. In the back end you can auto convert your balance from US dollars to Rupees.(I think)

So your store should be set to US dollars for it to be correct.
