    Version 6.2.11 of eshop plugin-

    Having some problems with auth.net.

    – I can checkout successfully with a credit card via auth.net
    – I receive the correct order completed emails after purchase.
    -My order appears correcty in the estore back end, and in auth.net

    However,

    I receive another email that says:

    authorizenet IPN -Invalid and Failed

    An instant payment notification was received

    from on 01/16/2012 at 10:38 PM

  • Is the transaction maked as successful in eShop? What about at authorize.net?

    Yes, the transaction was also successfull in eshop, it went straight to the active orders section

    And at authorize.net?

    Yes, auth.net appears to be ok. I have copied the message above

    No – have you actually logged into your authorize.net account & checked?

    yes, that is from within my account

    Then you need to contact support at authorize.net and ask them to explain the second “IPN -Invalid and Failed” email.

    I contacted auth.net and they say that they have nothing to do with that email, especially since it is generated from my website.

    Is there someone at the plugin/cart I can ask?

    Are you sure that this is not a completely unrelated transaction? eShop will not send out a Failed email unless the transaction failed at the merchant gateway.

    well, all they can see is a totally safe and accepted/cleared transaction on their end. I agree with them. It looks fine on their end. The auth.net tech had no idea what IPN was even referring to.

    What else can we do? I am happy to give you store access etc…

    Oh – I’d definitely try dropping that plugin for a while and see if the problem then disappears. Any plugin that could possibly interfere with communications between eShop and your merchant gateway can create transaction issues. The Bad Behaviour plugin is a prime example.
