plugin error and subscriptions aren’t working

    I’m getting an error that my subscriptions are failing and when I look in my woo error log I am seeing this error:

    (subscription payment) failed to finish processing due to the following exception: Too few arguments to function Square\Models\CreatePaymentRequest::__construct(), 2 passed in /www/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-square/includes/Gateway/API/Requests/Payments.php on line 79 and exactly 3 expected

    In my actionscheduler I have this error:

    Based on the error messages you’re seeing, it looks like the problem is related to the Square payment gateway plugin for WooCommerce. The first error is because the CreatePaymentRequest function is expecting three arguments, but only two are being passed. The second error indicates that the getOrder() function is trying to operate on null.

    To troubleshoot the issue, could you please downgrade your PHP version from 8.2.9 to 8.0 or 7.4? Also, increase your PHP Post Max Size from 300 MB to 2 GB and PHP Time Limit from 178 to 1200.

    Thanks for helping. There have been no changes to the site other than plugin updates, so hopefully there’s not a conflict. I’ll try to downgrade, and see if that fixes the issue.

    The next question would be, since the payments failed, does Woo Square attempt a re-try? Or do I manually need to try to make the payments to get the subscription live again? If manual, how would I do that?

    Sure, go ahead and take your time to downgrade. I’m pretty sure that everything will be sorted after downgrading to PHP 8.0 or 7.4. I’m eager to hear about your progress.

    If you haven’t enabled the option to retry failed recurring payments, the system won’t automatically retry failed payments for you. In this case, you’ll need to process the payments manually to reactivate the subscription. Further information can be found here:

    Here’s how you can do it:

    1. Navigate to WooCommerce > Subscriptions.
    2. Find the subscription that needs a payment retry and click on it.
    3. In the ‘Subscription actions’ dropdown, select ‘Process renewal’.
    4. Click the arrow button next to the dropdown to process the payment.
