  • I have the same problem, and the facebook catalog doesn’t update…

    Hey @arjunmpgupta and @scox!

Thanks for reaching out about this issue, and I’m sorry that the reconnection option didn’t work as expected.

With the latest release, we’ve had to rollback a few of the features we previously offered, in order to resolve a security issue with the connection logic. We’re waiting on the next release of the Facebook API in order to bring these back, though, in the meantime, the products will sync every hour by using the Facebook feed sync.

You’ve mentioned that you were unable to reconnect the catalog. I’d love to get a bit more information on this to see what sort of error you were shown, or what happened when you did try to reconnect the catalog.

Are you able to send over any screenshots of this occurring so I can look into this further for you?

    Cheers!

    Simon.

    Hi Simon,

Here’s a short video of the issue https://drive.google.com/open?id=1I77Orgf0_oBTubpBXsaDNbFC2aFp1t6F

    Thanks.

    Hey @creosmart,

Thanks for sharing that video! That seems to match what some of our other merchants are seeing as well. As the pop-up window and code is something hosted and developed by Facebook, our developers have reached out to them to see if they can shed any light on this.

If you’d be willing, I’d like to take a closer look at the reconnect button and the calls it makes when clicked. In order to do so, I’d need to be added to your store page as an Editor to allow me to access the pop-up. This would, by proxy, also need me to be added as a temporary admin to your site!

If this would be possible for us to have a closer look, would you please raise a support request via our support form so that we can communicate these credentials in private?

    Cheers!

    Simon.

Wordpress dashboard Heads up! Facebook for WooCommerce is migrating to a more secure connection experience. Please click here and go to Manage Connection > Advanced Options > Reconnect Catalog to securely reconnect. Learn more.

dont understad & my facebook page dont show any product

    Hey @mishumart,

Thanks for the follow-up here. Facebook have now resolved the issue with the reconnect button that @creosmart originally raised, so if you’re still having issue connecting your catalog, we can certainly take a closer look.

When you follow the notices instructions are you able to click the reconnect catalog okay? You can do this by navigating to WooCommerce > Settings > Integration > Facebook for WooCommerce > Manage Connection, then wait for the pop-up window to be displayed. Once this has loaded, you can click Advanced Options > Reconnect Catalog to migrate your catalog to the new security fixes version.

And to confirm, were your products correctly syncing previously?

    Cheers!

    Simon.

I still have the message about moving to a more secure connection but when I click “click here” or from the Integration page and click “Manage” I just get “Sorry, this content isn’t available right now” in a pop-out window. Please either remove the message or fix “Manage” so that it actually pulls something up.
