• Like, really really good, eh!! This uneducated and woefully code inhibited lad installed this plugin and like it, but not how it clashed with my blog color scheme. I popped a question up on a post by EnMask asking “What to do?! What to do!?”

Mr. enmasksteve came back to me with a coupla tips and directions and viola!! I am in business!! I have no idea on whether “humans” can manipulate the thing (I’m still trying to guess if I qualify for human status yet). But, I am confident that the comment ‘bots that have been plaguing my blog in recent months will be truly stymied by this thing. This EnMask Captcha!

I suggest giving it a shot. It was the 4th captcha plugin I tried that actually worked on the first go. I haven’t the foggiest on how or why it works, just that it does. Well, at least so far. Maybe I’ll end up getting bored Humans who get paid for every spam comment they post. Hmmm, do I get paid for this post??

    Humans, whatta bunch……….

I evaluated a bunch of captcha solutions and really like this one the best. The only problem was that it seemed limited to the options on where you can put it, like Login, Lost Password, etc. My only other option that worked in a php file or theme template was reCaptcha, which has nice docs on the Google site on how to do this.

However, I just didn’t want to use reCaptch. It’s always kind of annoyed me at not being able to read the words. So, Shhhh, don’t tell them but I got it working in a theme template on it’s own. I just groked what I needed from their source and it’s working nicely.

I just hope they keep the service going. I do have the reCaptcha fallback but would rather not use it. Good job enmask!
