Right now there is one template which is in the Options tab. You can modify the text in the template and it will be used for future post or page notifications.

Are you looking for Email Templates as opposed to Notification Templates? Might be something which could be done with a custom post type.

I have just installed this plugin and have changed the default notification from “I would like to bring your attention on a new post published on the blog. Details of the post follow; I hope you will find it interesting.” to a more customized sentence.

I changed it in the plug-in editor and can see that it changed in the email-users.php file. But I cannot get the new sentence to appear in my email notifications.

I even tried deleting and re-installing the plug-in with the changed text in my zip file that was uploaded. I again can edit the email-users.php and see my customized sentence, but it still isn’t used when a notification is sent out.

    What am I missing?

    Thanks, Paula

You have to change the value in the plugin settings. The default value is stored with the plugin settings in the WordPress database. Changing the plugin file will not have any effect as long as there is a value in the database already.

On your Dashboard go to: Dashboard->Settings->Email Users

You can set edit the email template text there and it is saved in the database along with the other plugin settings.

That worked! This is a very useful plug-in!! Thanks.
