[Plugin: Email Before Download] ****STICKY**** Getting Faster Support

I have a downloadpage working with WP Download Monitor. I have added a contact form which is also working. The contact form is “2”. Both are on

I used the formula [email-download download_id=”1″ contact_form_id=”2″] and I have tried all possible combinations to identify the contact form but I keep getting: [contact-form 404 "Not Found"] on

What do I do wrong?

In this *sticky* we also ask you to provide the url to the working component but as well as the shortcut that you use to generate it.

Additionally, please check and let us know what versions of the plugins you are using.

Yes you’re right! it’s working perfectly fine. I saw the form was the same and hadn’t actually tried it. Doh!

We checked the URLs to the pages you provided. Can you tell us what versions you use, of the WordPress and of each plugin mentioned here: WP Download Monitor, Contact Form 7 and Email Before Download

Thanks for the list of versions they are they same that we use in our test environment.
We have noticed one thing though in your shortcode 3. It seems to be broken can you try this one instead:
[email-download download_id=”1″ contact-form_id=”95″]

Please pay specific attention to ‘contact-form_id’ attribute it shouldn’t have whitespaces.

contact_form_id (all with underscores)

Please see the example we provide on our plugin page:

[email-download download_id=”X” contact_form_id=”Y”]

You might want to add a 4. point to this:

4. Make sure you have the latest jQuery running.

I just had the same problem. It was the theme. I had a child theme with an old jQuery in the header.php So you might want to check that. In my case it was
“https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3.1/jquery.min.js”
which I simply change to
“https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.8.3/jquery.min.js”

I have set this up on one site and it works. I just set it up on another site and when hitting the Send button – the circle spins and nothing happens. All of my plugins are up to date. Please assist.
