[Plugin: EG-Attachments] Files download but 0k in size

EG-Attachments v1.9.4.3 installed against WordPress instance.
Upon clicking on a file attached to a blog post the file downloads as normal but upon examination it is empty of contents and has a filesize of 0k – the filename itself is correct however. In the instance encountered so far the filetype is .pptx. Deactivating the plugin immediately allows a successfully download of the .pptx file associated with the blog post but obviously without the additional meta data the plugin displays.
– On a separate v3.1.1 WordPress instance using EG-Attachments v1.9.2. and the same settings this problem is not being experienced.
