[Plugin: Editorial Calendar] Drag and Drop from Unscheduled column not working

  • I have just installed the calendar which I can already see is going to be massively helpful.

    However the drag/drop functionality doesn’t seem to be working from the Unscheduled posts column. It works fine within the calendar itself, when I place my mouse over a post the cross icon appears so I can move a post. When I do this on the Unscheduled section it just highlights the text, no move functionality.

    Can you help?

    The other thing that’s really obvious to me as an update would be to have drafts in BOLD so you can see straightaway what needs completing in your schedule. The option to colour code would be good too, (ability to choose own colour from a palette – like in google calendar) I have various topic categories and like to see that there is an even split of them being covered across a month. These are more nice-to-have’s though.

    Thanks for trying the Calendar. I’m sorry you’re having trouble with it.

    I’ve never heard of drag and drop working in one area and not in another. Does it work properly for you on our test blog here:

    If you drag a draft into the unscheduled section can you drag it out again?

    By the way… there is an option in the screen options tab on the upper right to show the status of a post. If you check that box then you should be able to easily see which posts are drafts.

    I’ll need to work on the best way to support color coding. This is sort of like supporting categories in the calendar which a few other people have asked for. It’s a cool feature, but there some complexity there too.

    Hi there. AWESOME plugin!

    I also seem to be having an issue with dragging posts.
    My theme has a portfolio section and I cannot drag anything in the calendar.

    I’ve included a screen cast video of your sanbox site where I can move some items and not others.

    Hi,

    It looks like you’re having another issue. The calendar doesn’t let you move published posts since they are already out on your blog. You can only drag and drop drafts and scheduled posts. That’s why the published ones are gray.
