Plugin Editor Box

Hi

A plugin that I have been involved in creating is displaying a funny quirk. The plugin is creating a custom post and using the edit text box. However, whether I have text or visual editor highlighted the text does not recognised return for a new line. If I use the text editor and then use html code, either <p></p> or <br /> then a paragraph is displayed.

Any items please?
