• I am new to WordPress and I don’t know a whole lot about the best way to archive posts.

We have close to 200 posts visible on the Dashboard, so it is getting a little hard to navigate. All 200 show up under “posts,” and they show up on the budget as well. I can sort them by category and date, obviously, but I am looking for some way that I can keep just the latest posts visible on the Dashboard.

Is there some way to manage older, published posts so that they are still on the site and are accessible to readers, but they are no longer listed with the current posts that are still being edited and scheduled?

Again, I am a novice at this and I may be totally missing something obvious.

    Hey Laura,
On your “Posts” view, by default WordPress shows all of your content, regardless of its prior state. You can filter based on post status using the links across the top. It’s outside the scope of Edit Flow to manage how posts appear in the “Posts” view other than adding additional filter by post status functionality.

On the Edit Flow Story Budget, you can again filter by post status to see just posts in various states of not being published. We don’t have a way to see just unpublished content regardless of status, but I’ll consider that a feature request. It should be simple enough.

    Cheers,

    Daniel

    Hey Laura,
Just wanted to let you know: We’ve added a feature to both the story budget and editorial calendar so you can see all “Unpublished” content. It’s available as one of the dropdown options in “Post status”

    Cheers,

    Daniel
