    Edit flow version 0.7.1

I’m getting this error message when I try to preview or update a post:

Note: Your browser does not support JavaScript or has JavaScript disabled. You will not be able to access or change the post status.

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/hubwscns/public_html/entry/wp-content/plugins/edit-flow/modules/custom-status/custom-status.php:259) in /home/hubwscns/public_html/entry/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 866

If I understand the FAQ Troubleshooting for “headers already sent by” properly, the problem is at (or near) line 259 of the edit-flow custom-status.php file.

I couldn’t see anything wrong when I viewed the file, but that doesn’t mean much: I can’t even spell php.

Do you fix this, or do I fix this? If it’s me, what do I do?

    Thanks

Still having this problem? Does it persist when you deactivate all of your other plugins? If not, what other plugins are you using?

Thanks for responding Daniel. The problem continued after I deactivated Edit-Flow (the message blamed update.php instead of an edit-flow file), so presumably it lay, or lies, somewhere else.

I *think* I might have fixed it by screaming at full voice and deactivating every plug-in except anti-spammers and an events calendar that’s chock full of data. The scream was because I’ve used a plugin for backups and it wouldn’t complete, which means that I couldn’t update WordPress, which means….

Anyway, I can now preview a post, which is progress, if it continues.

    Thanks again.

Good to hear. It’s generally a good idea to deactivate plugins you aren’t actively using.

If a plugin you are using is causing problems, you can narrow down which it is by turning your plugins off one by one while testing.
