• Me again ??

I’m just trying to work out my Calendar workflow so bear in mind I’m a sole website owner with guest bloggers submitted content which I format and add some sparkle. It’s worked in the past however I’m looking to discover both how others use Edit Flow in this same user case as well as a work the different Status’ function.

[1] Would love to hear other users’ workflow setups and permissions for Guest Bloggers

[2] Does any of the supplied Status’ switch to Published when the date rolls around? i.e. if a Post is set to ‘In Progress’ with a date of tomorrow, what happens tomorrow? Does it get Published?

[3] Can the little preview pop-up also include the ability to change the Status Type instead of always having to Edit the whle Post? A bit like it’s own ‘Quick Edit’ mode.

That’s all for now – loving the potential this plugin can bring in cutting down work and making my blog easier to manage.

    Cheers
    Martin

I think I can answer a couple of your questions….

[2] Does any of the supplied Status’ switch to Published when the date rolls around? i.e. if a Post is set to ‘In Progress’ with a date of tomorrow, what happens tomorrow? Does it get Published?

Nope, it will stay as “In Progress” until you hit the publish button, or you schedule it to be published at a certain date and time. “In Progress” and the other statuses offered by Edit Flow’s custom statuses are pre-publication statuses.

[3] Can the little preview pop-up also include the ability to change the Status Type instead of always having to Edit the whle Post? A bit like it’s own ‘Quick Edit’ mode.

This is definitely on our radar. Stay tuned…

Oh cool, that’s great to have further clarification around point 2. I wasn’t able to easily find that info.

And even cooler that point 3 might be on the development radar somewhere too – thank you.

Would still love to hear other people’s experiences in how they best use Edit Flow.
