I want to start off by saying this is an awesome plugin and I feel will suit many needs! Hats off to you guys. The problem I am having right now, and I can’t seem to figure out, is why my rotator does not fill up all the featured images properly. My posts have featured images, and they’re named without spaces in their original images, but for some reason only a couple of them load into the rotator. I was wondering what this is as I have not been able to pinpoint the problem yet. Thanks in advance for the help!

I should also clarify that the manager recognizes these posts, but does not show the featured image and thus are defaulted to white boxes when viewing the rotator in the page.

    Hi @Idqout,

Thanks for using EasyRotator! Can you please send the URL of an example page with this issue? If I understand correctly, you’re saying that the appropriate slides appear, but the images don’t appear within those slides.

    Sincerely,
    Drew O’Neill

    Hi,

The page must be published for me to view it; if you’d prefer, you can open a support ticket at https://www.dwuser.com/ and send temporary login credentials for your dashboard.

    Hi,

Thanks for the URL. It looks like no featured photo is being located by the plugin. Can you please open a support ticket and send temporary WP dashboard credentials, so I can look into the problem?

Found the answer while doing more work on it yesterday. The featured image is used as part of the rotator, but must not be bigger than the space provided, or it will be “too large”. By that I mean, if your featured image is cropped in the preview of it in your post, it’s too big to be scaled in the rotator. I haven’t tested this theory completely myself, but having changed the size of the featured image so that it fits into the space provided without being cropped, the rotator works fine for the theme I have it set on. I hope this helps ??

    Thanks.

I am using EasyRotator and want to include both portrait and landscape images, so that they are all the same height. However EasyRotator seems to make them all the same width (i.e., width of the portrait images), so that the landscapes are smaller.

see – ‘https://www.sarahkeenanjones.com/experimental3/’ (click on the left arrow to see the landscape image)

This is the code I am using [easyrotator]erc_69_1344163972[/easyrotator]

This is for elastic dimensions and ‘scaling up and down’. I have tried all combinations.

I could rotate the images, but some of landscapes would look a bit silly! I could crop the landscapes but would much prefer to mix them.

Any ideas, e.g. to change the code, but how and where?

    Hi @cammies

Thanks for using EasyRotator for WordPress. Unfortunately, the
available width for each slide is fixed; thus, either you need to edit
the template to allow more width for all slides, or allow the
    landscape photos to be cropped.

    Sincerely,
    Drew O’Neill
