[Plugin: Easy Nivo Slider] Fatal error with buddypress setup

I have a multisite with buddypress; when trying to change the root blog for buddypress, I get the following error which my programmer has traced to nivo that there is setting.php page in the file and wordpress also have a setting.php page, So it is getting conflict. The error message is:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_current_user() in /home/ridgeroc/public_html/wp-includes/capabilities.php on line 1187
