  • You can use Easy FancyBox to convert any link on your site to be opened in an overlay. How to do it, depends on where you are linking to.

Is it an external web page? Then give the link tag (edit your post in the HTML View tab) the attribute class="fancybox-iframe"

Well what I ment was like I have a sidebar on my site correct, and I was going to put a clickable link called FAQ and when they click that FAQ link the overlay will pop up with information, and I didn’t know iF i had to create a seperate html for every overlay i wanted or something.

    But, I have a theme https://www.elegantthemes.com/gallery/egallery/

    https://www.elegantthemes.com/demo/?theme=eGallery

there all boxes, and I’d love for it to have overlay for each post. if someone wants to click on the posting, they need to click on the little white button, that looks like a play button.

As far as I known them, Elegant Themes usually build the FancyBox extension already into the theme. Adding it a second time via a plugin will cause conflicts.

Besides that, it will take a lot of work to get to pop up complete posts (but without the usual header, menu, sidebar and footer) in a FancyBox frame…

yeah they do have there own pop up thing, when you upload an image to your site, and use that as a thumbnail, once on the main part of the page. You can click on it, and it will become a giant overlay.

So, how much work would it take. I think it would be cool, and a lot different than always having to fucking click on a button to go to next page. I think my users would love it. Know anyone who would be willing to help, or whatever. I think it would be a rad change for my site if I could have pop up front page thumbnails.
