You can also customize the output of the [downloads] short code (undocumentated at this time).

The links above will walk you through the basic process, but essentially you will create a folder called “edd_templates” in your theme and then copy the files from easy-digital-downloads/includes/templates/* to the new folder, and then modify the files to your liking.

You can modify the checkout cart, but the checkout forms are a bit trickier. They can be modified via actions and filters, but not via template files (at least not yet).
