[Plugin: Dynamic Widgets] tags exception

Yes, this might be a bit confusing…

First set the widget default for Single Post to ‘No’ and tick the checkbox ‘Make exception rule…’. Now you have set the default to ‘Off’.
Next step is to go to the the tag where you want the widget to appear, tick the checkbox for the widget you want to appear.

Now when you go to a single post page (the page where only one post is shown) with a post where the tag is in, the widget will appear. When the tag is not set to the post, the widget will not appear.

Makes this it (a bit) more clear?

Is there any possibility to define a condition for showing a widget on a tag summery page?

Not yet actually. I’ll add it to the roadmap.

As a follow up… Version 1.5b3 (beta / development version) has support added for Tag Pages.

Feature request:
“Show widget on archive pages only for certain tags” (e.g. the tag “news”)

For example:
Widget shows only if you go to https://www.yoursite.com/tag/news

Thanks Qurl for your update. Just installed the latest dev version 1.5b6 and get the following error when trying to edit the options of dynamic widget:

Fatal error: Call to a member function getDWOpt() on a non-object in /wp-content/plugins/dynamic-widgets/mods/useragent_module.php on line 23

You have probably overwritten the previous version with this version. Completely understandable by the way. ?? Due to a change in the module system I had to rename two modules, useragent is one of them. Just remove /wp-content/plugins/dynamic-widgets/mods/useragent_module.php and if you use QTranslate, also qtranslate_module.php

Please note that when you use PHP 5.2, you might hit into another error. I’m working on that currently. Let me know when you do.

Thanks for your quick and helpfull answer: After removing the described file I can access the Options page.

Everything works fine now and I can use the Tag Pages as I needed.

There are two warnings on my system (PHP 5.2.8): After chaning options on Tag Pages I get: Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /wp-content/plugins/dynamic-widgets/mods/browser_module.php:35) in /wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 934

And the first time accesing to admin panel I got: Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /wp-content/plugins/dynamic-widgets/classes/dwmodule_class.php on line 226
