[Plugin: Duplicator] Using a site as a template for others…

    I need to create a dozen private sites, each with their own URLs and WP instances. I’ve created the first and want to use Duplicator to clone it and install for the other sites. Then I’ll only have to adjust a dozen pages, not all hundred or so.

    Can I use Duplicator for that? Are there separate instructions?

    That is one of the primary ways I use the tool, good thinking ?? Honestly I have been thinking about putting together a post and video for how that can be done. I’ll add it to my todo list. Right now there really isn’t any documentation for that specific purpose…

    Thanks, will do. But, in the spirit of full disclosure I signed up for WPManage.com which has a clone feature and because I am under ten sites it’s free. It worked flawlessly in under three minutes. I tried yours first and failed which is why I made this post and sought your advice.

    If you want to send me your logs we can get it going. Most of the issues people run into are basic configuration issues, the Duplicator will probably work in under two ??

    For the benefit of everyone reading this thread:

    Bob actually mentioned about ManageWP but not WPManage. It is an interesting product with a free plan too.

    It is important to note that ManageWP can only work with WP installations on Server Hosting but not from local machine to servers.
