I have hit a bit of a snag with this otherwise excellent plugin…

I backed up my live site and installed it on my localhost with no problems in a localhost/wpbackup folder. I have changed this local site and want to move it to another localhost machine to work on at home. Running Duplicator works perfectly and installing on the other localhost machine (in localhost/newsite) seems to go without a hitch but when I click ‘resave permalinks’ in the instructions I receive the “One or more database tables are unavailable. The database may need to be repaired.” Running the fix script in the Duplicator FAQ doesn’t work, neither does running the WordPress database fix. Looking at myphpadmin I have found the wp_options table doesn’t have any of the values in it for some reason.

So my question is this: How do I transfer one localhost site to another localhost location? Is there a reason why it wouldn’t be installing all the wp_options values?

  • Hi Therabidmonk,

If you want to try and re-run the installer script again and then send me the install-log.txt file that is generated after the install process I can take a look at your running process.

Please use the support ticket system to submit your logs. Do not post them on the WordPress forums as there is some sensitive information you don’t want showing up in the the forums.
