    Hi,
first of all thanks for the great plugin it makes my life much much easier. I used duplicator at least a hundred times now but I’ve run into an issue because of a new “situation”.

I have multiple WordPress installation in ONE database. My client wants it moved over to a new server with one database per installation.

The problem is that the duplicator seems to be confused (or I am) about what site it’s installing.

I creates the package properly (at least it seems so) but if I want to use the installer on the new server I get the following warnings:

WARNING: This Package Set may be incompatible!
Below is a summary of the package this installer was built with and the package used. To guarantee accuracy make sure the installer and package match. For more details see the online FAQs.
    created with: 504cefe0c64192544_20120909_familienspezi_package.zip
    processed with: 504cee9d26b934705_20120909_maxmuskel_package.zip

Both are pages I’d like to transfer and every package always refers to this one 504cefe0c64192544_20120909_familienspezi_package.zip.

The extraction works but theres no database connection. WordPress thinks that is has to be installed again when I open the URL after the duplicator ran.

Changing the URL in the installer mask doesn’t work.

I will provide more information if neccessary. Anyone got an idea?

  • Hey Sebsn,

Not 100% if this will solve your issue, but I think it may be an indicator of a possible issue. You will need to make sure you use the exact same installer file with the exact same package (as of plugin version 0.3.2). So if you go to site1 and create a ‘package set’ which is the installer.php and package.zip file, then both of those files need to be used together. The ones that are created at the exact same time on the same row in the Dashboard.

If you then go to site2 and create another package set (installer and package) both of those downloads also have to be used together. The installers and packages should not be intermingled.

As far as separating the one database into multiple databases, you would still need to do some work manually to separate out all the tables…

    Hey Sebsn,

Did you make any progress on this issue?
