[Plugin: Drop Cap Shortcode] Drop-capped letter not shown on Excerpts

Hi,
I am currently having problems in Drop Cap. Whenever I use it, which the code for example will be:
[T]his is my first line.The ‘T’ is omitted on my excerpts. Can you please help me with this?
