  • I am in the same boat as Isilas. I have deactivated everything and deleted stuff I added in functions and style, but nothing.

    EDIT:

Got it working. Apparently I changed my home page to “Default Template” and changing it back to “Homepage” fixed it. User error! :-0

    How to cause the problem:
On install, WooCommerce creates a few pages, among them a shop page.
If that page is set to be a static front page via the settings, then the Storefront custom templates doesn’t get applied, even though it looks like it is selected in the template select box in the edit screen. Quite difficult to catch without any error notices. Hence, Homepage Control doesn’t work, since the selected template is, in fact, not selected.

    Solution:
Don’t set the WooCommerce generated starting page as the static front page. Make a new page instead.

The issue is being caused by the WooThemes Helper plugin and not Homepage Control. A fix will be available soon.

I know this is not the support forum for WooThemes Helper, but I don’t think there actually is one. I have run into this exact conflict with version 1.6.0 of WooThemes Helper. So a fix has not been made yet.

Thank for the update Alexandre! I’m having the same problem as well!

    Hi, my wordpress is Outlet.
    Problem Homepage Control with ??
Does not work at all, I’m trying to move the orders of the main page . Not any events .

Same here with the child theme Outlet. I tried changing the homepage from the WooCommerce generated page, but no luck.

Same problem here, the click and drag of the homepage components to reorder them doesn’t work. Also clicking the checkboxes to enable/disable components neither. Any update?

I have all my WP + WooCommerce + StoreFront stack up to date to the latest versions.

As a temporary workaround, you can deactivate WooThemes Helper, make your changes in Homepage Control and then reactivate WooThemes Helper.

I tried that already, deactivated WooThemes Helper but still can’t drag and drop to rearrange the components and can’t click on the checkboxes neither.

I don’t think this is related or caused by WooThemes Helper.

    Hello,

I have the exact same problem, I can’t drag and drop items or click on check-box.

There is a jquery error “Uncaught ReferenceError: pagenow is not defined”.

On my end I also have the error in the JS console “Uncaught ReferenceError: pagenow is not defined”.

This is the same error I was seeing. Deactivating Woothemes Helper (previously known as Woothemes Updater) made it go away. Which version of Storefront are you using?

Have you tried deactivating all plugins except Homepage Control? If Homepage Control starts working, you’ll know you’re facing a plugin conflict. You can then reactivate plugins one by one until the bug resurfaces and you’ll have found the culprit.

    Homepage Control Version 2.0.1
    WooThemes Helper Version 1.6.0
    Storefront WooCommerce Customiser Version 1.8.1
    WooCommerce Version 2.5.5
    StorefrontVersion 1.6.1

You were right. I deactivated WooThemes Helper and it solved the problem, thank you.

Yes disabling WooThemes Helper makes Homepage Control Version work back again. Sorry previously I mention it didn’t but this time really worked for me.

Hopefully WooThemes Helper releases an update with a fix for that JS console error which is causing others plugins that works on Customizer to fail.
