• I migrated to WP Engine hosting last week. Since then, I can’t get the plugin to work, nor can the guys at WP Engine. We’re at a loss here. We’ve tried reinstalling and everything.

Our WordPress installation is Dutch, and using Native Dashboard we’ve set the backend to English. But we can’t get the frontend to be Dutch..

Have you tried deleting it and adding it back?

Yes, like a zillion times ??

Our website will be completely redesigned the next three weeks, perhaps it works then. Probably not..

This is totally broken. Last MAJ was not a good idea. Too bas very useful in previous versions.

    Ha! Good news.

    To recap:
    1. It worked out of the box
    2. I migrated
    3. It stopped working
    4. Tried everything but gave up

    5. Time passed and I learned a lot about WordPress.

    6. Remkus reminded me about this thread by replying, and I figured I could poke around some more.
    7. Apparently, the error was in wp_config. Here, I added ‘nl_NL’ (with apostrophe) instead of ‘nl_NL’ (with backticks).

This fixed it. All works now. Sorry for blaming you all this time ??
