Plugin doesn’t update media meta

  • How do I make this plugin update the files meta data in my case Audio.

    The plugin doesn’t update Audio meta data like
    Artist name
    Song title
    Album
    Genre

    Rather it uses the file title as the song name. Please help

    Edit: I should point out, even though this article is written about iTunes, it nonetheless tells about file tagging in general, including that WAV files do not provide space for this information…

    Thanks for your reply, but what you are saying is quit different from what am saying.

    I have an mp3 file that has id3 tags already. So how do I add

    wp_generate_attachment_metadata

    To the plugin so that it will generate the meta data of the imported file.

    First, are you changing the file format on import? If so, which?
    Second, I’ve believed that info stays with the file unless it’s intentionally removed, which a change in formats will do; have you done a test run?
