Update to our previous response:
We were able to locate the conversation in our support inbox and we acknowledge that there was a miscommunication from our end. You asked us for help with altering one of our standard out-of-the-box features (the format for the opt-in prompt). The change is possible but requires some custom coding on your website. We typically do not write custom code for our customers because of a multitude of reasons (can create conflict on your site, break your site, may require testing/tuning, etc).
Instead of writing the full custom-code, one of our engineers gave you a “pointer” or a “starting-point” if you will, to help you out. It is no surprise that you perceived the help as “not-complete” or “evasive”. We have made a note of being more clear to our customers in these types of scenarios.
