Plugin does not proct/check submission of comments?

    Plugin itself is great and working like it should. This is more a questions and not a real bug or feature request.

    We using it on one wordpress site
    WP 5.4.1
    latest plugin version 2.1.12

    Problem:
    We found a spam comment in one old dummy posts. The post itself was “protected” and I can’t access it without being logged in and correct user group.

    The post might be not protected some month ago. So it might be publicly known.

    Somehow the spam comment was submitted.

    Idea… Does the plugin not “protect” submission of comments? Means if a spam bot knows the url by accident it can still submit comments?

    Would be great to get a reply. Currently it is kind of strange.
