Plugin does not direct to previous or next blogpost

Hello,
This plugin looks great and I think it would be a nice addition to my blog. However it does not seem to want to link to the chronological next or previous post. Rather it directs users to two older posts. As far as the two posts the plugin direct to, I have looked at the dates of the posts, categories, etc and see nothing out of the ordinary.
Any ideas on how to resolve?

This plugin use default WP functions get_next_post() and get_previous_post() which retrieve previous/next post that is adjacent to current post.
Have you used a post reorder plugin or something like that?

Well, that’s all I can know according to your issue but it can be investigated more by looking into your theme code and other plugins compatibilities and test certain things.
