[Plugin: Disqus Comment System] Crashes in IE

    Ever since I updated WP to 3.0 and then 3.1, whenever i go to a post that has Disqus enabled in IE 8, the tab crashes, says its restored and then brings me to a generic IE error “We were unable to return you to…” It loads fine in FF.

    When I disable the disqus plugin the page loads fine. Does anyone know how to fix this? I am forced to keep the plugin off for now, so people can actually get to the blog.

  • I am seeing this issue too and have searched the internet for a while now and haven’t come across a fix. Emailing Disqus support now…

    Disqus responded to my support email and now it works. I had to remove the following line from my header.php file.

    <script type=”text/javascript”>var disqus_iframe_css = “<?php bloginfo(‘stylesheet_directory’); ?>/disqus.css”;</script>
