I have Disqus installed and configured (api key etc.).

I’m coming into this project half way through development. Anyway- I can’t seem to get the disqus comment form to display at the bottom of a post.

If there are comments associated with the post then I see them but there’s no form to leave a comment. Also the comments are closed on the front-end of the site but not in the back.

In my “Settings –> Discussion” I have it set to allow comments. Comments are also allowed on the individule post settings by default from the “Settings –> Discussion”.

If I disable the disqus plugin then the comment form appears beneath the post on the front-end and I can leave a comment.

    Any ideas out there? Thanks!

    Hi Jamie,

Would you kindly send the debug info under Advanced Options in the Disqus plugin to us at https://disqus.com/support (or just follow the “Drop us a line” link in the same menu)? We’d be happy to take a closer look then and get to the bottom of what’s happening here.

    Thanks,

    Tyler

Did this problem ever get resolved?

I appear to be encountering similar symptoms and I’d be interested to know if a solution was found.

    Hi,
me too, i have the same problem after i upgraded my blog to the WP 3.4.2 version.
    Any solution?

Personally I eventually decided to disable the plugin and install Disqus using the universal JavaScript code: https://mrmv2.disqus.com/admin/universal/

The downside is that Disqus won’t sync back to WordPress, but you can export your WordPress comments and import them into your Disqus account regardless, so it did enough for my needs.

I will still be interested to see any progress or updates on this issue though.

Hi everybody, as previously requested we need to the debug info from the Disqus plugin in order to look into this issue further.

To clarify, this isn’t happening on all Disqus-enabled WordPress sites. This is not a Disqus-wide issue and likely is caused by something different on each site —?the most common culprit with issues like these is a theme or plugin conflict —?and thus the debug info is the best way for us to investigate. Go ahead and follow the instructions I mentioned in my previous message and we’d be happy to lend a hand. Thanks!

Ok, i sent you my debug info by mail.

Ok, great, i resolve this issue on my website.
I just disable an old extention i have before i install Disqus : Spam Free WordPress.

    Its great now ??
