[Plugin: Display Links by Category] field_id doesn't seem to work

  • I can’t seem to get the field_id parameter to work. When I create the custom field and enter the default value for the field name, everything works correctly.
    =================================================

    Custom Field Values:

    Name: display_links Value: My Link Category

    Page Text:

    [links_by_cat]

    =================================================
    I get a list of links.

    If I change the custom field name and use
    =================================================

    Custom Field Values:

    Name: new_name Value: My Link Category

    Page Text:

    [links_by_cat field_id="new_name"]

    =================================================
    I get nothing.

    My goal is to be able to have multiple link categories listed on the same page. Am I going about it the wrong way??

    OK…now I feel like an idiot. I don’t know what happened, but it is now working as expected. Please ignore the above…

    Am having exactly the same problem. Have two different Field ID’s and used the default but the categories are not showing. Hopefully someone will know why.

    I have not worked on this plugin in a very long time, but before I check for bugs, I just wanted to make sure that you have updated to the later version of the plugin. If the issue still persists (or happened in the first place) on the newest version, I’ll see what I can do about it. Thanks for the feedback.
