[Plugin: Display File Contents Widget] Not working on 3.4.x

Tried absolute and relative URLs, tried directories inside and outside of the WP directory, tried every variation thereof.
Just doesn’t save in the widget screen and, consequently, doesn’t display on the front end.
Shame, because this is precisely the add-on I needed.
Any chance of a fix?
