Plugin disappeared on my 5 sites

On my 5 sites, the plugin has disappeared even though it still appears in the plugins folder via ftp. Since the plugin isn’t listed in WP-admin, I can’t just re-activate them. I know you have had a security issue, but would that have deactivated the plugin? Please advise.
