• I have the latest version of this plugin installed on a WordPress 3.7.1. site we are building.

I install it. Activate it. Get it up and running on the widget section I want. Works perfectly, but it will then disable itself a few hours after me enabling it.

I thought I was going mad, but no. No one else has access to the site, no one even has front end access as it’s on one of our development servers.

I’ve never seen this behaviour in WordPress before, so any idea why this might be happening and how to fix will be useful.

Which Testimonials by Aihrus version are you running? If 2.17.0, then please email [email protected] with an admin login for me to debug with.

Are you running any other plugins by me?

I have the same problem. Running 2.17.2 on wordpress 3.8

Everything was fine before upgrading to 2.17.2

I had to move my entire site to a new server with PHP 5.3 on it afterwards the plugin still didn’t work.

I activate the plugin, test it, put the widget onto all the pages it needs to be. About 20 minutes later the plugin deactivates itself and the widgets are all deleted requiring me to do the work all over again. I have done this now three times.

Any idea what is going on? My site is up at https://coolsounds.ca

An update – It appears you must now use the bxslider. If I don’t install bxslider plugin then the widget will crash and disable itself after about 10 minutes or less.

When I enable the bxslider the widget doesn’t crash but it displays all 10 testimonials in a long row. As the transition changes the testimonial the one second from the top moves up to the top until the last testimonial is reached, then they rotate as per normal.

Something has changed in this plugin

@malocite, thank you very much for this feedback. I’ve started a plugin restructuring which should resolve this deactivation issue when using the custom JavaScript.

This issue shouldn’t be happening, but it is on some systems and I’m not able to get it to replicate for myself at this time.

For the CSS problem, the stacked testimonials, clear your website and browser cache. Further, make sure that CSS is being included per your configuration options.

I’m tracking the disabling issue at https://github.com/michael-cannon/testimonials-widget/issues/45.

    Hi,

I’ve gone in and re-enabled bslider and told it to force load the css to no avail.

Here is the code in the export settings section

I’m still having this issue is there a fix for this as yet?

The latest release plus a settings reset fixes this.

    Hi

I have updated to the latest version and the plugin still deactivates itself. Any ideas on how to fix?

    Thanks

What’s the error message or top of the screen admin notice say when it disables itself?

Possibly, see the FAQ and search the knowledge base mentioned there for PHP 5.3.

    Hi

No error message and php version is 5.3.28
