Nobody else has reported any problems with the plugin. I have just tested it myself with the latest version of WordPress (3.4.1) and it works fine.

Perhaps you installed/updated your theme or another plugin and that is causing a conflict? In any case, saying “it’s broken” without explaining what exactly doesn’t work isn’t very helpful.

I have tested this using WordPress 3.4.1 on two themes: Mindful and Hero. It doesn’t disable comments on pages or posts, even when everything is selected in the plugin preferences. No other plugins are currently installed.

Does it work when you switch to the default theme (Twenty Eleven)? If that is the case, then please read the third entry in this list of list of FAQs. It means that the theme isn’t using the correct method to check comment statuses, and that means that other plugins can’t modify them.

Your plugin works fine with Twenty Eleven. It looks like both themes are not using that comment checking method. Thanks for the help.

You’re welcome. This issue has come up quite a lot recently (it seems like a lot of themes are doing it) – so I’ve written a note explaining why this is wrong, and how theme authors can fix it.

I have now added a “permanent mode” to the plugin, which when enabled, should disable comments even for themes with which it didn’t work before. Details are in the FAQ.

    Rad. You are the man.
