Not sure what version of WP i’m using, it’s a few back (2 yrs old?) as my dashboard is currently paralzyed. I downloaded, installed and activated Disable Comments, and instantly my whole administration panel ceased to work. Whether i click on Dashboard, Pages, Posts, Comments, Appearance, Tools, Plugins, or any other section or subsection, i only see one thing, a fatal error message that says:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_current_screen() in /var/www/vhosts/mywebsitename.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/disable-comments/disable-comments.php on line 114

How do I go about fixing this?

    Hi Deb,

The plugin requires WordPress version 3.2 or greater, which yours definitely isn’t if you haven’t upgraded in so long. You really should upgrade as your site is currently insecure.

To fix it, you have to manually delete the folder wp-content/plugins/disable-comments – using FTP or whatever other means your web host provides. Once deleted your WordPress admin will be available again.
