[Plugin: Digg Digg] how to add buttons to widget sidebar on homepage

I’d like to add the normal facebook like button with count, or my “normal” (FB, google+1, twitter, linked in) button to my widget sidebar on my home page.

I’ve tried adding the code <?php dd_fblike_generate(‘Like Button Count’) ?> to a text widget used for html and it doesn’t appear.

Is there a widget option or what code could I use in my widget area to make the buttons display?
