  • Yea, me too! And how exactly do you do this manually now?… if it’s not going to be included anymore… ??

    I am glad I’m not alone on this. I thought it was a great feature, I don’t see why it would be discontinued…I really don’t want to have to update the CSS directly every time there is an update…hopefully this can be resolved

    it also seems like the floater has gone behind my main body. Did the z-index change or something? hmmmm… I do like the spacing on the new floater, though!

    I definitely like the offset control, but really need that CSS back BAD

    Hi zechmann and lettereye,

    Great to hear from you and thanks a lot for the awesome feedback on this.

    Yes, we definitely want to bring back styling options for you, only much simpler than before.

    The offset control was the first step. We are going to add shadow/background toggling on and off, offset control for top and bottom placing of buttons and more.

    Is there any chance you could let me know what else you would like to be able to style and customize for Digg Digg?

    Ahhh I see Leo; well, definitely control over the border shadow, the border, and the background. I take off the border and border shadow, and then I make the background transparent for my two sites in particular. If you are able to alter those parameters, it would meet my needs. Thanks so much for your reply!

    i use a border-left, bottom & top of 10px black and leave the shadow on the right — gives it a nice, smooth separator from the main page, thanks to you guys.

    props if you guys pull it off but i would keep the custom css anyways, i bet some people have some pretty custom setups

    Any word on fixing this? Really want to update, but my floater doesn’t work right.

    Hi zechmann and lettereye,

    Yes, absolutely, we are working on more easier to use customization options to build into Digg Digg. It might still be a little while, but it’s definitely high up on our list!

    Please let me know if you ever have any more questions or suggestions for us! ??

    Keen to get things working well for you as soon as possible!

    Best,

    Could you put back in the custom styling until you do? I’m surprised more people aren’t complaining about this… maybe it’s not used enough to put back in.

    This is unrelated, but is there anyway to only call the DiggDigg Style sheet on just my posts page? My site is terribly slow and I would like to reduce this call to my server.

    I’ve tried the wp_deregister_style function, but it keeps throwing errors?

    Thanks,

    CArol

    Carol, unfortunately the plugin currently doesn’t make use of wp_register_style at the moment. If you add the below to your functions.php file in your theme you can control what page the CSS is added to. Make sure you wrap it in if statements for the required rules. In your case it sounds like you want to use the following.

    if(is_post()){
         add_action('wp_head', 'dd_output_css_to_html');
    }

    I’d really like to have the ability to control .connect_widget_number_cloud and connect_widget_connect_button – as they do not lineup with everything else in the floating bar and I’d love to fix this. ??

    Hi housebg

    Have you got a link I can take a look at? It sounds like they ar generated by the sharing buttons themselves rather than Digg Digg.

    Thanks

    Hi Andrew,
    You can see it on my dev server at builder.xigko.com
    From what I can tell, the css does seem to be coming from the buttons – but I was hoping an !important would override that. I did what I could to make it look close ??
