Plugin dies when trying to do SP-Initiation SSO with PingFederate
-
This is perhaps related to a previously unanswered question about support for IdPs other than OneLogin (I saw someone mention using it for ADFS, so I assume the intent is to be generic, given the wording of the plugin description). I am specifically trying to work with a partner who uses PingFederate as their Identity Management product. I configured everything in the plugin and was able to authenticate and be redirected to ACS URL in WordPress, but then the plugin just dies (browser says “connection was reset”) without any error inside of the login method of the file php/lib/Saml2/Auth.php. I can’t install XDebug to trace and diagnose, as I do not have shell access to my hosting provider, so I am at a standstill and am trying another plugin. I’m guessing troubleshooting something this specific may be beyond the scope of reasonable support for a free plugin, but figured I’d at least post for awareness.
Thanks,
Duane
